According to the Persons with Disabilities Act 2008 'OKU' or 'People with Disabilities' include those who have long term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society. Malaysians with disabilities are registered under these seven categories When a Malaysian with one of these seven categories of disability registers with the Social welfare Department, he is provided with a OKU card which entitles him to the following benefits.
